★★★★★
The missing variable in every leadership conversation is not a skill, a system, or a strategy. It is a field. Every leader walks into every room already generating an invisible but measurable quality of presence — and it reaches the nervous systems of every person in the room before a word has been spoken.
The most important thing a leader brings into any room is not their agenda. It is the field they are already generating.
The Argument
What this book is
The Human Field is an argument about the primary leadership variable: not what a leader does, but the quality of presence they generate before they act at all.
It grounds that argument in the measurable science of cardiac electromagnetism, inter-brain synchrony, and polyvagal biology, and then refuses to stop at theory.
The second half is the operational half: The Six Frequencies of Human Flourishing, each one examined, evidenced, and translated into a practice a leader can begin tomorrow morning.
82 scientific footnotes
Primary sources across disciplines that independently converge on the same finding.
The Six Frequencies framework
Six distinct, identifiable, and immediately actionable conditions for human flourishing.
The leader's inner work
Presence before performance. Truth as the highest form of care. Power without fear.
How It Begins
There was a morning in Belgium in the early 1990s when two people who had built something that no one above them fully understood were told, efficiently and not unkindly, that their services were no longer required. They were not angry. They were not even particularly surprised. What they felt, if they could have named it at the time, was unseen.
One leader. That is all it would have taken. Not a programme, not a policy, not a strategy. One leader who genuinely saw them.
